Talegaon is Surrounded by Amazing Tourist Spots

Talegaon is surrounded by amazing tourist spots. Talegaon has surely been blessed by mother nature. There are some great tourist spots surrounding this town that are a must visit for  everyone.

Tourist spots

Tallest Ganesh Statue

Just a few kilometers away from Talegaon’s toll booth, you will see this serene Ganesh Statue. It is 54 ft in height and is placed on an 18 ft high platform. The area around it is well maintained, clean and beautiful. Whether you are a Bappa devotee or not, you must see this statue for its magnificence.

Pawna Lake

Pawna Lake is very near Talegaon and it is one of the serene tourist spots in the area. Since the weather is pleasant throughout the year, this lake and its gorgeous surrounding area has become very popular among campers. This is hardly surprising since the drive to the lake is wonderful and the lake and view from the lakeside is stunning!

Treks

Talegaon is surrounded by many small hills or tekdis. These offer a beautiful area for people who love walking or trekking. Trekkers can even choose from forts like Sinhgad and Lohegad, or beautiful treks such as the Firefly trek of Rajmachi. The options are truly endless.

Lonavala

Lonavala is a hill station near Talegaon. The drive to Lonavala is breathtaking and the hill station has several waterfalls and greenery. There are several interesting tourist spots you can visit such as Bhushi dam, Karla caves, Tiger point, etc.

Induri Fort

Talegaon is home to the beautiful Indrayani river which makes for a breathtaking sight. If you wish to get a spectacular view of this river, then head to Induri Fort. This fort was constructed in the early 1700s by Sarsenapati Sardar Khanderao Dabhade. It is a great place for enjoying an evening of tranquility while listening to the sounds of the river.

There are various activities as well along the Talegaon-Pune highway. For thrill seekers, you have paragliding in Lonavala. People who are looking for a fun day trip can go to water parks such as Sentosa, Imagica or Wet n Joy. Bhandara Dongar

Bhandara Dongar is the place to visit in monsoons. It gives you a panoramic view of the hills once you reach the top. The easy climb is beautiful and surrounded by trees and greenery. There is also a small temple there which, it is believed, was frequented by Saint Tukaram for meditation.
